Identify the right competitors

List your business competitors and your search competitors separately, because they frequently differ. Confirm your true search competitors by who actually ranks for your target keywords, then pick three to five to benchmark in depth.

Find the keyword gap

Run a keyword gap analysis to surface the terms competitors rank for and you do not. Segment those gaps by intent and funnel stage, then prioritise by business value and difficulty so you chase winnable, valuable terms first.

Find the content gap
