AB Tasty Reviews: What Users Actually Say (2026)

AB Tasty Reviews: What Users Actually Say (2026)

AB Tasty is a French experimentation, personalization and feature-flagging platform. G2 (4.4/5, 420 reviews) and a stale Gartner pool (4.6/5, 11 reviews) look strong, but on 20 January 2026 AB Tasty and VWO announced they are joining forces into one platform.

AB Tasty Review Overview

  • G2: 4.4/5 on 420 reviews, checked September 2026, the reviews sampled were overwhelmingly labeled “Incentivized” via G2 invite or seller invite.
  • Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice: 4.6/5 on 11 reviews, one Gartner Digital Markets pool republished three times, most recent review dated December 2022.
  • TrustRadius: 8.6/10, page header states 93 reviews and ratings though the reviews list itself shows 53, reviews sampled tagged “Incentivized.”
  • Trustpilot: present with zero reviews, a claimed profile since May 2019 with no organic complaint or praise channel.
  • Glassdoor: 3.4/5 on 87 employer reviews, includes a reviewer-flagged concern about the VWO merger.
  • Indeed: 3.5/5 on only 2 reviews, too thin to report as a score.
  • Comparably: blocked on two attempts, access denied both times.

What Users Say About AB Tasty

Users across G2, Capterra and TrustRadius consistently praise the visual editor and support responsiveness. Pushback centers on advanced-feature complexity, pricing for smaller teams, and thin native integrations.

G2: 4.4/5 (420 reviews, checked September 2026)

Of the reviews sampled in detail, all carried G2’s own “Incentivized” tag, sourced via “G2 invite” or “Seller invite.”

What users praise:

  • Intuitive visual editor that lets non-technical teams run tests
  • Responsive customer support
  • An all-in-one platform combining testing, personalization and feature flags

Where users push back:

  • Advanced targeting, reporting and multi-experiment management carry a learning curve
  • Pricing seen as steep for smaller businesses relative to the value delivered
  • No straightforward native Salesforce connector, limiting one enterprise reviewer’s use of analytics

“The main thing I dislike about AB Tasty is that some of its more advanced features can take a while to learn and set up properly. The platform can also feel a bit complex when I’m managing multiple experiments, audiences, and personalization rules all at the same time.”

  • LOKESH G., Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (>1000 employees) (G2 )

Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice: 4.6/5 (11 reviews, checked September 2026)

These three list the identical 11-review sample, matching star distribution and matching sub-scores, republished across all three Gartner Digital Markets properties. Present this as one sample, not three independent corroborations. The most recent review in this pool dates to December 2022, with the oldest from 2018, so the 4.6/5 rests on a small, aging sample even though Capterra’s own metadata shows a “last updated” date of August 2026. Software Advice is the only one of the three that discloses per-review incentive labels, showing a mix of reviews marked “Organic” with no incentive offered and others marked “Incentivized” with a nominal thank-you incentive.

This review, dated December 5, 2019, describes VWO as the reviewer’s prior vendor before switching to AB Tasty, years before the 2026 VWO/AB Tasty merger discussed below, and should not be read as commentary on that merger:

“VWO decided to break apart features from our package and when they didn’t notify or give an opportunity to save data. Literally one day our data was gone on certain tests”

  • Brittany W., Director of Digital Marketing, Real Estate (Capterra )

TrustRadius: 8.6/10 (checked September 2026)

TrustRadius’s profile header states “93 Reviews and Ratings,” while the reviews list on the same page shows 53 full written reviews. Both figures come from the platform’s own page; the header figure is published here since that is what the profile presents. This is a 10-point scale, not directly comparable to the 5-point platforms above. Reviews sampled, dated January 2025 and June 2024, both carried TrustRadius’s own “Incentivized” tag.

What users praise:

  • Value seen as strong for teams that can run their own tests and QA
  • Cost-to-benefit ratio rated highly by at least one reviewer

Where users push back:

  • GA4 integration described as needing improvement
  • QA, particularly on mobile, described as needing to be easier
  • Support responsiveness cited as a gap for teams needing more hand-holding

“If you have the budget and can build your own tests / QA yourself then this tool would be ideal. If you need a lot of support then maybe another tool with better communication plans would be suited better”

  • Verified User, Analyst (51-200 employees) (TrustRadius )

Trustpilot: present, zero reviews (checked September 2026)

Trustpilot’s own page shows 0 reviews, 0 reviews in the last 12 months, and all star bars at 0%, on a profile that has been claimed since May 2019. This is a genuine zero-review claimed profile, confirmed by Trustpilot’s own interface, not a block. It means there is no unsolicited, public consumer-complaint channel for this vendor at all, the one gap in an otherwise heavily reviewed B2B sample.

Where the Review Platforms Disagree

G2 (4.4/5, 420 reviews) and the Gartner pool (4.6/5, 11 reviews) sit close together, but the samples are not equivalent. G2’s 420 reviews are current, sampled reviews dated as recently as August 2026, and overwhelmingly vendor-solicited. The Gartner pool’s 11 reviews are stale, with the most recent dated December 2022, and shared identically across Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice rather than three independent readings. TrustRadius’s 8.6/10 sits on a different scale entirely and is also built substantially on incentivized reviews. Trustpilot, the one channel that would surface unsolicited complaints, carries none. Every B2B score on this page leans on vendor-solicited or vendor-invited reviews to some degree, and no platform here offers a genuinely independent counter-sample, which is itself the finding: a buyer cannot triangulate this vendor’s client sentiment against an unsolicited source, because none exists.

AB Tasty Pricing

Read at abtasty.com/pricing on 2026-09-04. AB Tasty publishes no plan names, no tiers and no prices. The page states: “Your business doesn’t fit a template, neither does our pricing. No fixed plans. Just a custom proposal built around your goals and scope,” and the on-page FAQ describes pricing as based on traffic volume, number of domains, selected modules (Experimentation, Personalization, and Release Management and Feature Experiments are sold as distinct areas), and implementation scope. This is a fully sales-gated, contact-only pricing model. GetApp’s own listing carries a yearly starting-price figure for AB Tasty that does not appear anywhere on the vendor’s own pricing page, so it is not reported here.

AB Tasty as a Vendor: Stability Signals

On 20 January 2026, VWO and AB Tasty announced they had entered into an agreement to combine, subject to closing conditions, to form what the companies’ own announcement calls “an industry-leading digital experience optimization platform.” The combined leadership is Sparsh Gupta as CEO, VWO cofounder Ankit Jain as chief product and technology officer, AB Tasty cofounder Remi Aubert as chief customer and strategy officer, and AB Tasty cofounder Alix de Sagazan as chief revenue officer, with all four cofounders retaining significant individual ownership in the combined company. abtasty.com now brands itself as “VWO & AB Tasty,” and G2 lists the seller of record as “VWO AB Tasty.”

Glassdoor scores AB Tasty 3.4/5 across 87 company reviews, checked September 2026. A former Customer Success Manager, reviewed 8 July 2026, wrote in the review’s Cons section that there is a “Messy merger with VWO which’ll lead to a bulky / buggy platform that undermines the work AB Tasty had done on their own platform (which was/is better).” This is a reviewer’s stated opinion, not a confirmed fact about the merger’s execution, and it corroborates, independently, what G2’s own seller listing already shows: this product’s roadmap and platform are being merged into VWO’s. Indeed shows 3.5/5 on only 2 reviews, too small a sample to weigh alongside Glassdoor’s 87. Comparably was attempted twice and returned an access-denied page both times; it is reported here as blocked, not as an absence of a profile.

Setting a client-side observation beside an employee-side one: G2’s own listing of the seller as “VWO AB Tasty” and a Glassdoor reviewer’s merger complaint are two separately sourced observations pointing at the same live event. That is worth noting as a purchase-risk signal for a buyer evaluating product continuity, not a verdict on how the merger is being run.

Do You Need the Tool or the Outcome?

Evaluating AB Tasty right now means evaluating a product whose roadmap is being folded into a combined VWO platform, not a settled long-term purchase. The licence buys you an experimentation and personalization engine, but it doesn’t design the test hypotheses, build the audience segments, or turn a winning variant into pipeline, and it won’t resolve a mid-migration integration question for you. That work sits with whoever runs the program day to day, and the licence is the cheap part next to the headcount needed to run it well.
