Clearscope Reviews: What Users Actually Say (2026)

Clearscope Reviews: What Users Actually Say (2026)

Clearscope is a content-optimization platform that has visibly repositioned toward AI-search prompt tracking. Client scores converge near 4.9/5, but most of that sample predates the pivot, so it measures a product buyers can no longer fully buy today.

Clearscope Review Overview

  • G2: 4.9/5 across 92 reviews, checked September 2026, includes reviews flagged “G2 invite” in page HTML.
  • Capterra & GetApp: 4.9/5 across 60 reviews, one Gartner Digital Markets pool republished twice, checked September 2026, sample includes reviews from 2020.
  • TrustRadius: 8/10, with a header count of 12 against 6 reviews visible in the feed, checked September 2026, both readable reviews labelled Incentivized.
  • Software Advice: no dedicated Clearscope profile found, confirmed via a direct 404, checked September 2026.
  • Trustpilot: claimed since March 2021, zero reviews, checked September 2026.

What Users Say About Clearscope

Across every platform with a visible cons section, cost is the recurring complaint, including from reviewers giving the product 4 and 5 stars. Most of what follows describes the pre-pivot content-grading product, not today’s prompt-tracking positioning.

G2: 4.9/5 (92 reviews, checked September 2026)

G2’s page HTML contains both “Incentivized” and “G2 invite” strings, confirming at least some reviews here are vendor-solicited alongside organic submissions. Reviews sampled range through January 2026.

What users praise:

  • Ease of use and an intuitive interface, raised in multiple reviews
  • Keyword and relevance recommendations described as accurate and confidence-building
  • Real-time feedback while writing, and content grading as a clear quality signal

Where users push back:

  • Pricing structure called “a bit high” for smaller teams and occasional users
  • Limited explanation of why a given recommendation is made
  • One reviewer says Clearscope’s keyword suggestions are sometimes less optimal for ranking than MarketMuse’s

“One thing I really like about Clearscope is how it makes content optimization feel so straightforward… The interface is clean and the keyword suggestions are usually very relevant.” Cons, same review: “The part that could be better is the pricing structure. For smaller teams or occasional users, the cost feels a bit high considering the number of credits or reports included.”

  • Vishal K., Tech SEO Lead, Education Management (G2 )

Capterra and GetApp: 4.9/5 (60 reviews, one shared pool, checked September 2026)

Capterra and GetApp are both Gartner Digital Markets properties, and this listing is one underlying sample republished across both: identical 4.9 rating, identical 60-review count, and the same named reviewers (Marc A., Enes B.) appear on each. Treat this as a single confirmed sample, not two independent corroborations. Software Advice, the third Gartner-family property, carries no Clearscope profile at all (see below), so the overlap here is two of three properties, not three of three.

GetApp discloses it “may earn a referral fee” when a reader clicks through to the vendor. Capterra’s own incentive-badge status on this pull was not confirmed beyond the visible page text, which carried no badge; the underlying incentive flag was not separately checked on either platform, so neither sample can be called incentive-free.

What users praise:

  • Google Docs and WordPress integrations that speed up the writing workflow
  • Keyword research trusted to guide writers toward search intent
  • Customizable and flexible enough for agency use

Where users push back:

  • Price higher than alternatives, a repeated theme
  • One reviewer calls the keyword tool “really basic” while also calling it “really expensive”
  • WordPress paste-formatting friction, raised by one reviewer

“We still use Ahrefs for other features not offered by Clearscope, but for outlining and scoring articles, there’s no comparison. Ahrefs’ ‘also rank for’ keywords are frequently not as accurate as Clearscope’s ‘relevant keywords.’”

  • Rebekah E., Co-Founder, Marketing and Advertising (Capterra )

Software Advice: no profile found (checked September 2026)

A direct navigation to Software Advice’s content-marketing category and a follow-up site search both returned a clean 404 for Clearscope, not a bot challenge. This is recorded as a genuine absence, not a block. That means the usual three-property Gartner pool is only two platforms wide for Clearscope, not three.

TrustRadius: 8 out of 10 (header count 12, 6 reviews visible in feed, checked September 2026)

TrustRadius’s summary header reads “12 Reviews and Ratings” while the rendered feed showed 6; both counts are reported here unreconciled rather than picked between. Both fully-read reviews were explicitly tagged “Incentivized” directly under the title and date, a TrustRadius-run incentive program distinct from G2’s invite mechanism. The sampled reviews date to June 2022, older than G2’s sample.

What users praise:

  • Keyword recommendations described as having “greatly improved over time”
  • Strength at analyzing top-performing competitor articles to set topic, length and reading-level targets
  • Easy WordPress integration, and a repeated freelancer-writer keyword-optimization use case

Where users push back:

  • Pricing named directly as a con in the lowest-scored review
  • The interface criticized as needing improvement
  • Bugs reported in the content-brief feature

This small sample is the one place on this page where the rating itself is not flat: a 3/10 review sits beside a 10/10 review, a dispersion the larger, higher-count platforms do not show.

“Cons: The user interface / The pricing bit / Lot of bugs in content brief, please check.”

  • Verified User, Program Manager, Information Technology, Incentivized (TrustRadius )

Trustpilot: profile exists, zero reviews (checked September 2026)

Clearscope’s Trustpilot profile has been claimed since March 2021 but shows a 0.0 score and zero reviews, with the page inviting visitors to “be the first to review clearscope.io.” There is no consumer sample here at all, so there is no B2B-versus-consumer gap to report for this tool, only an absence of data.

Where the Review Platforms Disagree

G2 (4.9/5, 92 reviews) and the Capterra/GetApp pool (4.9/5, 60 reviews) agree closely, but both samples are heavily solicited and, in Capterra’s case, run back to 2020. TrustRadius sits lower and thinner at 8/10 across as few as 6 visible reviews, also incentivized, but with real dispersion inside that small sample, a 3/10 next to a 10/10, that the larger samples flatten out entirely.

That is the more useful finding than any single number: a small, incentivized sample can still surface disagreement a big, incentivized sample smooths away. Neither is more “real” than the other; they are different measurements at different scales. Layered on top of both is the product-pivot problem: Clearscope’s current marketing leads with AI-search prompt tracking across ChatGPT and Gemini, brand-mention monitoring and query fan-out, while nearly every sampled review, including the most recent G2 ones, describes the older content-grading-against-Google-SERPs product. A 4.9 built largely on reviews of that earlier product is not a verified read on what a buyer gets today.

Clearscope Pricing

Read at clearscope.io, September 2026. No country banner or currency switcher was visible; figures render in USD.

Plan Price What it gates
Essentials $129/month 50 Tracked Prompts, 50 Pages, 20 monthly Topic Explorations, 20 monthly Drafts
Business $399/month 300 Tracked Prompts, 300 Pages, 50 monthly Topic Explorations, 20 monthly Drafts, dedicated account manager
Enterprise Custom Everything in Business plus custom credits, custom agreements, crawler whitelisting, SSO

Users and Projects are unlimited on every tier. The gates that actually bite are Tracked Prompts, Pages, Topic Explorations and Drafts, not seats, worth noting since most competitors in this category gate on seat count instead. Additional Pages and Drafts can be purchased beyond plan caps as add-on blocks, priced lower per unit on Business than on Essentials. A 14-day free trial is available, with monthly cancel-anytime terms; annual or custom plans can be invoiced. Older third-party review summaries reference a legacy “content report” credit structure; that pricing is stale and is not carried forward here.

Clearscope as a Vendor: Stability Signals

Source Score Reviews Last checked
Glassdoor4.8/5 6 September 2026
ComparablyProfile exists, 0 participants September 2026

Glassdoor rates Clearscope 4.8/5 across just 6 company reviews, checked September 2026, with 100% saying they would recommend and 100% reporting a positive business outlook. That count is too thin to draw a conclusion from, and it is published here with that caveat rather than as a settled read. The reviews sampled cite strong team culture, with “hard to get promoted” the only named con; no layoffs, leadership churn or ownership changes surfaced.

Comparably’s profile is present but an empty, unclaimed shell: 0 employee participants, 0 total rating, last modified in 2018. It carries no usable current signal either way.

Indeed was not located for a dedicated Clearscope employer profile; this is recorded as unverified, not as a confirmed absence.

Read alongside each other, a small but positive 6-review Glassdoor sample sits beside the much larger 92-review G2 client sample. That is a correlation between two separately sourced observations, not evidence that one causes the other.

Do You Need the Tool or the Outcome?

Clearscope is priced from $129 a month with unlimited users, so the licence itself is rarely the constraint. The harder cost is the headcount to run keyword research, content grading and now prompt tracking every week, and turn that output into pages that actually generate pipeline. A tool that scores well on ease of use still needs someone accountable for what gets published and whether it ranks.

PipeRocket Digital is a B2B SaaS marketing agency working with 70+ B2B SaaS clients, including Storylane, Spendflo and HyperVerge, through a senior-led pod with no junior handoff, reporting pipeline metrics including MQLs, CAC and pipeline value from week four.
