Moz Pro is an all-in-one SEO suite (keyword research, site audits, backlinks, Domain Authority). Its B2B review platforms cluster between 4.3 and 4.5 out of 5, while Trustpilot sits at just 2.4/5, a gap that traces directly to how each sample was gathered, not a hidden quality problem.
Moz Pro Review Overview
- G2: 4.3/5 on 608 reviews, checked September 2026, every sampled review carried a “G2 invite” or “Seller invite” incentive label.
- Capterra / GetApp / Software Advice: 4.5/5 on 350 reviews, one Gartner review pool republished three times, checked September 2026, roughly half the sampled Capterra reviews carry a nominal-gift incentive.
- TrustRadius: 7.9/10 on 373 reviews, checked September 2026, every sampled review carried an “Incentivized” label under TrustRadius’s own solicited-review program.
- Trustpilot: 2.4/5 on 243 reviews, only 30 from the last 12 months, checked September 2026, an organic and unsolicited sample that Trustpilot itself flags as unrepresentative.
All four scores are for Moz Pro specifically. Moz also sells Moz Local and STAT as separate products with their own review profiles; neither is included in any figure on this page.

What Users Say About Moz Pro
Reviewers across every platform describe an intuitive tool with strong keyword research and a widely praised Domain Authority metric, and repeatedly flag accuracy gaps against Ahrefs and Semrush and billing disputes.
G2: 4.3/5 (608 reviews, checked September 2026)
Every review sampled in G2’s visible feed carried an “Incentivized” label, sourced from either a “G2 invite” or a “Seller invite.” No unlabeled, organic review appeared in the sample checked, so this score should be read as a vendor-solicited sample.
What users praise:
- An interface described as intuitive for both beginners and power users
- Keyword Explorer’s keyword difficulty score, called “accurate” and “exceptional” by multiple reviewers
- The all-in-one toolset (rank tracking, site audits, backlinks) that cuts down manual reporting
- Educational resources, Moz Academy and the Moz Blog named repeatedly
Where users push back:
- A steep learning curve for non-expert users
- Gaps in the keyword database for niche and long-tail terms
- Weak third-party and back-office integrations
- Frequent upsell prompts noted by at least one reviewer
- Jake H., Marketing Strategist, Enterprise (G2 )
Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice: 4.5/5 (350 reviews, checked September 2026)
These are one review pool, not three. All three are Gartner Digital Markets properties, and the listing is byte-identical: same 4.5 rating, same 350-review count, the same 204/116/24/3/3 star distribution, and the same reviewer names and verbatim quotes (Dave A., Claire B., Angus A., Sean C.) appear on all three sites. Treat this as a single confirmed sample republished three times, not three independent corroborations.
All three disclose earning a referral fee when a reader clicks through to the vendor. Capterra’s own review metadata shows roughly half the sampled reviews were collected under a “NominalGift” incentive, a detail visible only in the page’s underlying HTML, not in the rendered review text a reader normally sees. Software Advice labels this openly per review, showing a mix of “Organic, no incentive offered” and “Incentivized” tags in the same feed.
What users praise:
- Strong feature breadth for the price relative to competitors
- Keyword Explorer and the MozBar browser extension, called “like a swiss army knife for SEO”
- The on-page grader and rank tracking
- Free SEO stats and educational resources
Where users push back:
- A backlink checker seen as weaker than Ahrefs
- The product “hasn’t kept up” with the pace of SEO industry change, per multiple reviewers
- Price seen as steep relative to value
- Accuracy complaints on keyword and traffic stats
- At least one detailed billing complaint over an unauthorized $205/month charge with a refused refund
- Marco Genaro P., Founder, Marketing and Advertising (Capterra )
TrustRadius: 7.9 out of 10 (373 reviews, checked September 2026)
TrustRadius uses a 10-point scale; this figure is reported as published, not converted to a 5-point scale. Every review sampled in the visible feed, four of four, carried an “Incentivized” label directly under the review title and date. TrustRadius runs its own incentivized-review program, and no unlabeled organic review appeared in the sample checked.
What users praise:
- Keyword analysis and tracking, called strong and relevant
- The content analysis feature for prioritizing on-page fixes
- Site crawl’s technical issue detection
- Domain Authority, named specifically as a valued metric by multiple reviewers
- Good fit for agencies serving multiple clients, with the link intersect tool named directly
Where users push back:
- An interface described as needing a refresh, with tools buried in a single dropdown that isn’t always intuitively named
- Feature credit limits, such as site crawl credits, that can’t be purchased incrementally, forcing an upgrade or a wait for the next billing cycle
- Keyword suggestion relevance described as “hit or miss”
- Not well suited to large or enterprise sites running many products
- Verified User, Director in Marketing, 11-50 employees (TrustRadius )
Trustpilot: 2.4/5 (243 reviews, checked September 2026)
Trustpilot’s own profile carries two notices that matter more than the number itself: “No recent history of asking for reviews, this company hasn’t invited customers recently, so reviews may not be representative,” and “Hasn’t replied to negative reviews.” Both are Trustpilot-generated flags, not PipeRocket’s inference.
Only 30 of the 243 reviews were posted in the last 12 months, so the 2.4 headline score is carried substantially by an older, larger historical sample. The star distribution is sharply bimodal: 61% five-star against 28% one-star, a love-it-or-refund-dispute pattern unlike the smooth curve on the Gartner-pool sites.
What users praise:
- MozBar, named specifically as a useful free entry point for beginners
- The product’s educational value for people new to SEO
Where users push back:
- Free-trial-to-paid conversion complaints, where a trial ends and a card is charged immediately
- Refund refusals, including on complaints the reviewer describes as fair
- Unauthorized upsell or package charges made without consent
- Kristoffer Dahl (Trustpilot )
Where the Review Platforms Disagree
The gap is real and it tracks incentive structure, not product quality. The B2B cluster, G2 at 4.3, the Gartner pool at 4.5, TrustRadius at roughly 3.95 once rescaled from its 10-point figure, sits between 4.0 and 4.5 out of 5. Trustpilot sits at 2.4, a gap of roughly 1.6 to 2.1 points on a 5-point scale.
That spread is explained by how each sample was gathered, not by a hidden truth about the product. Every B2B platform score here is built substantially or entirely from vendor-solicited reviews: G2’s sampled reviews all carried an invite label, TrustRadius runs its own incentivized-review program, and roughly half of the Capterra pool’s sampled reviews carry a nominal-gift incentive. Trustpilot reviews are organic and unprompted, and Trustpilot’s own platform notice states Moz “hasn’t invited customers recently, so reviews may not be representative.” An organic, unprompted sample skews toward people who showed up on their own, disproportionately those with a billing or refund dispute.
These two samples are answering different questions: whether the vendor successfully solicited a positive review from an active user, versus whether an unprompted visitor felt strongly enough to post unprompted. They are not comparable numbers, and this page does not average them or declare a “real” rating.
A second, smaller theme worth naming: accuracy and pace-of-change complaints versus Ahrefs and Semrush recur on both Capterra and GetApp, with one Capterra reviewer stating plainly that “Moz hasn’t kept up well with the industry, as SEO changes rapidly.” Domain Authority, by contrast, is praised by name repeatedly across Capterra, TrustRadius and Trustpilot, not dismissed as a vanity metric, in the reviews read for this page.

Moz as a Vendor: Stability Signals
| Source | Score | Reviews | Last checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| Glassdoor | 3.9/5 | 107 | September 2026 |
| Comparably | Not verified (page blocked) | — | September 2026 |
Glassdoor rates Moz 3.9/5 across 107 reviews, checked September 2026, with sub-scores of Work-life balance 3.9, Culture & values 3.8, Career opportunities 3.7, and Comp & benefits 3.9. This figure was read via a search summary rather than paged through review by review, so treat the count alongside the score as lower-confidence than a fully paged sample.
One directly-read review, from a current Software Engineer III in Montreal dated May 2026, rated the company 5/5 overall and named “the SEO industry is going through some rough times” as a con, a market-pressure signal about the software category rather than a company-specific complaint. No reviewer-reported layoffs or acquisition-specific unrest surfaced in the material read directly for this page.
Comparably’s profile could not be verified: the page returned an access-denied response when checked in September 2026. That reads as a block, not a confirmed absence of a profile, so this page does not report a Comparably score either way.
Read alongside each other, a positive employer sample on Glassdoor sits beside a client-side sample that splits sharply by platform, from 4.5 on the Gartner pool down to 2.4 on Trustpilot. That is a correlation worth noting between two separately sourced observations, not evidence that one caused the other.
Do You Need the Tool or the Outcome?
Moz Pro’s Standard plan starts at $79 a month on annual billing. That licence is the cheap part of doing SEO yourself; the expensive part is the headcount needed to run keyword research, site audits and backlink tracking inside it every week and turn the output into pipeline.
PipeRocket Digital is a B2B SaaS marketing agency working with 70+ B2B SaaS clients, including Storylane, Spendflo and HyperVerge, through a senior-led pod with no junior handoff, reporting pipeline metrics including MQLs, CAC and pipeline value from week four.
