SE Ranking is an all-in-one SEO and GEO platform (rank tracking, audits, competitor research). Four separate review samples all land positive: G2 4.7/5, a shared Gartner pool at 4.7/5, Trustpilot 4.3/5 and TrustRadius 9/10. Every one of them carries a vendor commercial tie.
SE Ranking Review Overview
- G2: 4.7/5 on 1,601 reviews, the largest sample here, checked August 2026, includes vendor-invited reviews.
- Capterra / GetApp / Software Advice: 4.7/5 on 297 reviews, one Gartner review pool republished three times, checked August 2026, individual reviews carry a nominal-gift incentive.
- Trustpilot: 4.3/5 on 708 reviews, 89 in the last 12 months, checked August 2026, paid vendor subscription.
- TrustRadius: 9/10 on 40 reviews, visible feed dated December 2022 or earlier, checked August 2026.

What Users Say About SE Ranking
Users across every platform describe SE Ranking as a strong value-for-price alternative to Semrush and Ahrefs, praise its competitor and rank-tracking research, and repeatedly flag rising subscription costs and features gated behind add-ons.
G2: 4.7/5 (1,601 reviews, checked August 2026)
G2’s review flow includes vendor invitations, and at least one review in the source carries a “G2 invite” label, so this score is partly solicited alongside organic submissions. G2’s own auto-tagged pros/cons across its mined review set: Ease of Use (45), Features (33), Limited Features (15), Expensive (14).
What users praise:
- Competitor keyword-gap analysis and traffic estimates, described by reviewers as directional rather than exact but useful when read correctly
- AI Citation Analysis and Brand Mention Tracking for AEO and GEO research workflows
- Ease of onboarding
Where users push back:
- Segmentation is thin for agencies running many client projects; reviewers want to group competitors and prompts by category, market or client and currently can’t
- Reporting features “could benefit from more flexibility,” per G2’s own AI-generated summary
- Price, auto-tagged “Expensive” on 14 reviews
“As an online marketplace, we need to understand not just how our own website is performing, but where other marketplaces and retailers are picking up demand that we could potentially compete for. … I particularly liked being able to move from a broad competitor view into the actual search terms and rankings behind it.”
- Simos K., CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer employees) (G2 )
Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice: 4.7/5 (297 reviews, checked August 2026)
These are one review pool, not three. Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice are all Gartner Digital Markets properties, and this listing is byte-identical across all three: same 4.7 rating, same 297-review count, same sub-scores (Ease of use 4.6, Support 4.7, Value 4.7, Functionality 4.6), and at least one reviewer quote (Ben J.’s “hugely responsive” review) appears verbatim on both Capterra and Software Advice.
Treat this as a single confirmed sample republished three times, not three independent corroborations. All three disclose earning a referral fee when a reader clicks through to the vendor, and Capterra’s own review metadata shows most individual reviews in this pool, including both quotes below, were collected under a “NominalGift” incentive rather than with no incentive at all.
What users praise:
- Competitor keyword analysis, particularly through the API
- Value for money against Semrush and Ahrefs, named repeatedly as the reason for switching
- Responsive support team
Where users push back:
- Price increases over time: “significant price hikes in subscription costs that the platform has seen in the last 4 years” (Angus A., Director, Broadcast Media, 1-2 years use, 14 July 2025)
- Rank-tracking reliability: intermittent tracking failures, “everything looks down for a couple of days and then reverts to normal” (Marcus H., MD, Marketing and Advertising, under 6 months use, 6 November 2025)
- Some features shipped as paid add-ons rather than rolled into the annual subscription, particularly Local SEO functions
- Refund and cancellation friction on at least one dispute
“We’re big fans. We get everything we need from a visibility tracker at a great cost, and the team are hugely responsive, updating to anything we or other businesses need.”
- Ben J., SEO Director, Marketing and Advertising, 11-50 employees, used 2+ years (Capterra )
Trustpilot: 4.3/5 (708 reviews, checked August 2026)
SE Ranking has held a claimed, paid Trustpilot subscription since May 2015, meaning the vendor pays the platform. Trustpilot’s own profile notices state “No recent history of asking for reviews” and that the company “hasn’t invited customers recently, so reviews may not be representative.”
The sample is current: 89 of the 708 reviews were posted in the last 12 months. The star breakdown: 84% five-star, 5% four-star, 2% three-star, 1% two-star, 8% one-star. Trustpilot also publishes that SE Ranking replied to 68% of negative reviews, typically within two weeks, a support signal not available elsewhere.
What users praise:
- An intuitive interface and powerful tools, per Trustpilot’s own AI-generated review summary
- Value for money compared with competitors
Where users push back:
- No specific complaint themes surfaced in the reviews read at this checkpoint beyond the general one-star tail (8% of the sample)
“Great software. It’s a nice alternative to SEMRush which is way more expensive and provides the same insights. I’ve been using it for a while and I highly recommend it.”
- Gene A., US, “Unprompted review” (Trustpilot )
TrustRadius: 9 out of 10 (40 reviews, checked August 2026)
TrustRadius uses a 10-point scale; this figure is reported as published, not converted to a 5-point scale. The visible review feed, sorted newest first, shows no review dated later than December 2022 against a headline count of 40, so this is the least current sample on the page. At least two of the reviews read carry an explicit “Incentivized” label in TrustRadius’s own metadata, meaning TrustRadius runs an incentivized-review program for this product.
What users praise:
- Rank tracking accuracy, described by one reviewer as matching organic rankings seen directly in the browser
- SEO audit and on-page improvement suggestions, called out repeatedly as strong
- Price and value versus Semrush and Ahrefs
Where users push back:
- Thinner keyword-research depth for some use cases compared with tools like Moz Keyword Explorer
- Limited PPC-specialist tooling
- Seat limits forcing plan upgrades
- Local SEO and backlink research called “limited” by one reviewer
The one publishable TrustRadius quote carries a double disclosure: it is drawn from a platform that runs its own incentivized-review program, and the reviewer separately discloses she personally earns affiliate commission on client sign-ups she refers to SE Ranking.
“I do recommend this tool to our clients and colleagues. I even have a few clients that I brought with the affiliate link, so I earn on the commission from their purchases”
- Solomiya Artyshko, Project manager in Information Technology at Panem (11-50 employees) (TrustRadius )
Where the Review Platforms Disagree
The four scores broadly agree, and that is worth stating plainly: G2 sits at 4.7/5 across 1,601 reviews, the Gartner pool at 4.7/5 across 297, Trustpilot at 4.3/5 across 708 and TrustRadius at 9 out of 10 across 40. All are clearly positive.
Consumer-facing Trustpilot sits only a few tenths below the B2B platforms, which is unusual for SaaS tools where the open consumer site is typically far harsher. Agreement across separately sourced samples is a stronger signal than any single score.
The real gap is not the rating, it is recency and how the reviews were gathered:
| Platform | Most recent reviews | Commercial relationship |
|---|---|---|
| G2 | Current | Review flow includes vendor invitations |
| Capterra, GetApp & Software Advice | Through late 2025 | Affiliate-monetized, one shared sample, and individual reviews carry a nominal-gift incentive |
| Trustpilot | 89 in the last 12 months | Paid vendor subscription |
| TrustRadius | December 2022 or earlier | Runs its own incentivized-review program |
The strongest-looking score is also the oldest and the most solicited: TrustRadius carries the highest headline number at 9 out of 10, but every review visible in its feed dates to December 2022 or earlier, and at least two carry TrustRadius’s own “Incentivized” label.
Every platform here has a commercial relationship with either the vendor or the click. None of that erases the underlying positive consensus, but none of these scores should be read as a fully independent, unsolicited verdict either.
SE Ranking Pricing
Verified on seranking.com’s own pricing page, 2026-08-25. Annual billing saves 20% against monthly; a free 14-day trial requires no credit card, and free migration is offered on annual plans.
| Plan | Annual (/mo) | Monthly (/mo) | Key limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core | $103.20 | $129.00 | 10 projects, 1 manager seat, 2,000 keywords + 100 prompts daily, 5 GEO domains, 250K pages/mo audit, 25K API credits |
| Growth | $223.20 | $279.00 | 30 projects, 3 manager seats, 5,000 keywords + 250 prompts daily, 15 GEO domains, 2M pages/mo audit, 100K API credits |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Flexible terms, custom limits, full API, sales-gated |
| Agency Pack (add-on) | +$69.00 | Annual billing only | 30 projects, 30 client seats, white-label reporting |
Core includes rank tracking across major search engines, unlimited keyword, competitor and backlink research, a website and on-page audit, and Data Studio, Matomo, GA and GSC integrations. Growth adds historical data across the project lifetime, guest links, page-change monitoring and dedicated support.
The current entry price, $103.20/mo on annual billing, is worth stating plainly because it connects directly to the most repeated complaint across every client review platform above: rising subscription costs over time, and features (particularly Local SEO and the Agency Pack) gated behind higher tiers or paid add-ons. A Capterra reviewer specifically cites price hikes over the last several years; G2 auto-tags “Expensive” on 14 reviews. Current, dated, vendor-sourced pricing and the complaint pattern tell the same story.
SE Ranking as a Vendor: Stability Signals
| Source | Score | Reviews | Last checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| Glassdoor | 4.2/5 | 15 | August 2026 |
| Comparably | Profile exists, 0 reviews | — | August 2026 |
Glassdoor rates SE Ranking 4.2/5 across 15 reviews: 75% of reviewers saying they’d recommend the company and 79% approving of CEO Valery Kurilov, checked August 2026. Glassdoor’s own comparison line places this “in line with the average (within 1 standard deviation) for employers within the Information Technology industry (3.8 stars).” The reviewing team is Kyiv-based, and no layoffs, ownership changes or leadership churn surfaced in the reviews read. Fifteen reviews is a small sample, and that count should travel with the score every time it’s cited.
One Glassdoor reviewer, a former designer in Kyiv with more than a year of tenure, rated the company 3.0 overall and wrote of “the workload is often quite high, with tight deadlines,” alongside pros describing a “great team, normal communication, friendly environment.”
Comparably carries no usable signal: its profile shows zero employee participants, a total rating of 0/100, and a last-modified date of 30 June 2021, checked August 2026. It has no usable purchase-risk signal, and its listed Palo Alto headquarters conflicts with the company’s other public listings, so it is not treated here as a location fact.
Read alongside each other, a positive but small employer sample of 15 Glassdoor reviews sits beside a positive and far larger client sample of 1,601 on G2. That is a correlation worth noting between two separately sourced observations, not evidence that one caused the other.
Do You Need the Tool or the Outcome?
SE Ranking’s Core plan is $103.20 a month on annual billing. That licence is the cheap part of doing SEO yourself; the expensive part is the headcount needed to run rank tracking, audits and competitor research inside it every week and turn the output into pipeline.
