From Stagnation to Domination: PipeRocket's Impact on Spendflo's 81% Traffic Rise
The challenge
The site had stalled. Rankings weren’t moving. The blog was publishing, but pipeline contribution from organic was flat. Before PipeRocket, Spendflo had worked with other agencies for over 15 months without seeing any growth in organic traffic or conversions.
Digging in surfaced seven specific problems working against growth:
- Traffic stagnation — the site saw limited to no organic growth for over a year.
- Link cannibalization — many duplicate pages confused search engines and suppressed rankings.
- No defined user journey — the site lacked a clear path, misleading visitors rather than guiding them.
- Content gaps — missing critical content hurt both relevance and engagement.
- Unstructured blogs — the blog section lacked structure, making it hard to navigate and pushing bounce rate up.
- No topical authority — without keyword research or a content strategy, the site never built authority in its category.
- Insufficient BoFU pages — too few bottom-of-funnel pages to convert the traffic that did arrive.
The team didn’t need more posts. They needed a different shape of programme.
Our approach
We rebuilt the programme in four phases, each one building on the last.
Phase 1 — Quick fixes & basic setup
Existing content got optimised for search intent while new, more effective content started shipping. Every duplicate page was removed with a 301 redirect, and the blog was restructured to fix the navigation issues driving up bounce rate.
Phase 2 — Building a strong foundation
With the technical debt cleared, we built well-defined user journeys, added actionable CTAs, and put a real internal-linking network in place. This phase also included a full keyword analysis, which we used to build pillar pages around keyword clusters — then closed the content gaps in existing blogs with that keyword map in hand.
Phase 3 — Content growth that builds authority
To convert the new structure into rankings, we focused on high-volume keywords that were realistic to win, then interlinked blogs and related content to make everything easier to discover. Backlinking with high-domain sites lifted Spendflo’s domain authority score alongside the content work.
Phase 4 — Optimization that improves conversions
With authority building, the focus shifted to bottom-of-funnel: tools pages, alternatives pages, and comparison pages built specifically to convert. From there, the strategy was continuously revised against performance data to maximise ROI.
The results
PipeRocket’s phased strategy delivered better than expected. Organic traffic rose 61% over the engagement window, with a 152% increase on blog pages specifically — and the lift came disproportionately from BOFU pages, exactly the visitors most likely to convert.
Two numbers stand out beyond the headline: organic traffic from the USA — Spendflo’s primary target market — grew 69%, and non-branded traffic doubled (+100%), meaning the growth was new demand, not just existing-customer search. Underneath it all, keywords ranking in the Top 10 grew from 264 to 1,273 — the structural foundation the rest of the results were built on. The site moved from “publishing into the void” to a steady, compounding source of demo-ready traffic.
