4.7x Blog Traffic in a Year: How Tredence Out-Ranked Its Category Rivals

The challenge

Tredence had the credentials. Fortune 500 clients, deep AI and analytics expertise, a real category to own. What it didn’t have was the search footprint to match.

Organic was underweight for a company of its standing. The blog existed but wasn’t compounding. Competitors with similar offerings were capturing the queries Tredence’s enterprise buyers were typing, and the gap was widening, not closing.

The brief was clear: build the organic engine into something that reflects the brand’s actual authority, and overtake the category rivals doing it better.

Our approach

A consulting firm doesn’t rank by publishing more blogs. It ranks by becoming the most credible answer to the questions its buyers ask. That was the whole strategy.

Pillar 1: Authority content at pace

We published over 140 articles across the year, but volume was never the point. The point was coverage of the topics Tredence actually competes in.

  • Focused content on AI, GenAI, and Agentic AI, the categories Tredence is positioning around
  • Built industry-use-case depth across CPG, BFSI, retail, and healthcare, the verticals where its enterprise buyers live
  • Strengthened internal linking so every new piece reinforced the pages already ranking, instead of starting from zero
  • Optimised existing service, solution, and industry pages alongside new content, so the whole footprint moved, not just the blog

Pillar 2: Regional depth (India + EMEA)

Tredence wasn’t trying to rank everywhere. It needed to win in specific markets.

  • Built India-specific topics, listicle backlinks, and locally-tuned blog optimisation
  • Developed region-specific EMEA content and CTAs for UK and UAE queries
  • Mapped keywords to local intent and SERPs rather than running one global playbook across every region

The goal in India was concrete: overtake a named competitor in overall traffic. We did.

Pillar 3: AI-search visibility

Enterprise buyers had started asking AI engines the questions they used to type into Google. We made sure Tredence showed up there too.

  • Structured content for AI retrieval: Q&A formats, snippet-ready answers, FAQ schema, and clear entity linking
  • Built brand proof into pages, ratings, client logos, real performance data, because in LLMs, credibility is a ranking signal
  • Tracked AI traffic across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini and optimised toward the engines driving qualified visits
  • Initiated a Wikipedia presence through a specialist agency to strengthen the authority signals AI systems lean on

The results

The blog went from a quiet corner of the site to the engine.

Bar chart showing blog traffic up 4.7x, keywords in top 3 up 3.0x, and service and industry traffic up 1.6x between 2024 and 2025
Blog traffic grew 4.7x year over year, with keywords and service pages climbing alongside.
Metric Growth, 2024 → 2025
Blog traffic 4.7x
Service & industry traffic +64%
Keywords in top 3 positions 27 → 81 (3x)

Blog traffic grew 4.7x year over year, and keywords ranking in the top 3 tripled from 27 to 81. The service and industry pages, the ones closest to revenue, grew 64% alongside.

The AI-search numbers moved just as hard. Perplexity traffic nearly doubled, and total AI-engine visits grew by more than a third across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot, and Gemini, with the qualified-intent engines pulling the most weight.

The headline the team cared about most: in India, Tredence overtook a key competitor in overall traffic. That was the goal set at the start of the engagement, and we hit it.

Why it worked

Three things drove the outcome:

  1. We matched content to the category, not the keyword list. Tredence competes in AI, GenAI, and specific industry verticals. We built depth there instead of chasing generic high-volume terms that would never convert an enterprise buyer.
  2. Regional intent beat a global playbook. India and EMEA buyers don’t search the same way. Tuning content and keyword maps per region is what let us overtake a competitor in India specifically, rather than spreading effort thin everywhere.
  3. We treated AI search as its own channel. Structuring content for LLM retrieval and building brand proof into every page meant Tredence gained visibility in the engines its buyers are increasingly starting with, not just classic Google results.
