Botify Reviews: What Users Actually Say (2026)

Botify Reviews: What Users Actually Say (2026)

Botify is an enterprise technical SEO platform (crawl, log-file analysis, rankings) now repositioning around AI-search visibility. Its only substantial sample, G2’s 4.4/5 across 80 reviews, is mostly vendor-invited: 8 of the 10 readable reviews are tagged incentivized.

Botify Review Overview

  • G2: 4.4/5 across 80 reviews, checked September 2026, 8 of 10 readable reviews tagged “Incentivized” or “Source: G2 invite,” reviews run through early 2026.
  • Capterra: 4.3/5 across just 4 reviews, checked September 2026, all dated 2018 to 2019, no incentive labels but too small to carry weight.
  • TrustRadius: listed as 9.2/10 across 8 reviews, but only 1 review body renders and that one is incentivized and dated 2021, no score published here.
  • Trustpilot: 3.7/5 on exactly 1 review from 2017, the platform itself flags the profile as not representative, no score published here.
  • Software Advice: confirmed absent, a real 404 loaded at the constructed profile URL, checked September 2026.
  • GetApp: 4.3/5 across 4 reviews, checked September 2026, the same Gartner Digital Markets pool as Capterra, so it republishes that sample rather than corroborating it independently.

What Users Say About Botify

Reviewers consistently value Botify’s crawl depth for large sites and flag price and support consistency as the recurring friction points.

G2 (4.4/5, 80 reviews, checked September 2026)

G2 carries the only sample large enough to draw a pattern from, but most of the readable reviews are vendor-solicited: 8 of the 10 individually readable were tagged “Incentivized” or “Source: G2 invite.”

What users praise

  • Depth of crawl data and insights that surface technical issues other tools miss
  • Segmentation and reporting built for large sites
  • Integration with analytics tools linking crawl data to performance
  • Navigable despite the platform’s underlying complexity
  • Responsive customer support, per one reviewer

Where users push back

  • Steep learning curve for new users
  • Pricing structure repeatedly cited as expensive, especially for smaller teams
  • Dashboard and report setup takes time
  • UI ergonomics don’t adapt well across screen types
  • One reviewer cited slow customer support

“Botify provides an excellent depth of crawl data and insights that help uncover technical SEO issues that other tools often miss.”

  • Himanshu V., Product Manager, Mid-Market (G2 )

Capterra (4.3/5, 4 reviews, checked September 2026)

Capterra’s headline score sits on just 4 reviews, all dated 2018 to 2019, so it cannot be read as current sentiment. The overall 4.3 also masks a wide internal split: sub-scores for Value for Money and Customer Service are both 2.0/5, on the same 4 reviews.

What users praise

  • Crawl bot depth and detail
  • Strong fit for longtail-keyword positioning
  • Wide breadth of technical SEO and content metrics in one platform
  • Dynamic URL filtering and segment-based reporting
  • Reliable log file analysis

Where users push back

  • Expensive, especially for startups and small agencies, named in 3 of the 4 reviews
  • Slow customer service, including a dedicated customer success contact who stopped delivering promised monthly training sessions
  • Steep learning curve
  • Platform described as extremely slow at times

“We have a dedicated rep (we are a big company), and we are supposed to receive a monthly training session. However, the rep has failed to reach out and our last session was in June (it is now September).”

  • Andrew, SEO Manager, Computer Hardware, 10,000+ Employees (Capterra )

TrustRadius and Trustpilot: too thin to score

TrustRadius lists Botify at 9.2/10 across “8 Reviews and Ratings,” but only 1 review body actually rendered on the page, and that review is tagged incentivized and dated 2021. Much of the platform’s stated praise theme comes from TrustRadius’s own AI-generated summary rather than reviews we could individually verify, so no comparable score is published for TrustRadius here.

Trustpilot shows 3.7/5, but that rests on exactly 1 review from October 2017. Trustpilot’s own profile flags “no recent history of asking for reviews,” meaning the platform itself considers the figure non-representative. No score is published for Trustpilot here either.

Where the Review Platforms Disagree

G2’s 4.4/5 across 80 reviews is the only sample with real size, and most of it is solicited: 8 of 10 readable reviews are incentivized. Capterra’s 4.3/5 headline looks close to G2’s, but it sits on just 4 stale reviews from 2018 to 2019 and hides sub-scores of 2.0/5 for Value for Money and Customer Service on that same small sample. TrustRadius and Trustpilot each rest on essentially a single readable review and are not published as comparable scores. Software Advice returned a confirmed 404; GetApp carries a dedicated profile showing the identical 4.3/5 across 4 reviews as Capterra.

Capterra and GetApp share the same Gartner Digital Markets review pool here: both show 4.3/5 on the same 4 reviews, so treat that as one small sample, not two independent corroborations. Software Advice is the only one of the three Gartner-family platforms with a confirmed absence this run. The pattern across every platform that does carry usable text is consistent even where the sample sizes are not: price and support responsiveness are the recurring complaints.

Botify Pricing

Botify’s pricing page at botify.com/pricing redirects to a “Request a Demo” lead-capture form, read September 2026. No plan names, tiers, currencies or usage figures are published anywhere on the vendor’s own site; Botify is fully sales-gated. Capterra’s profile lists a “$500.00/month” starting price, but this is a third-party directory figure sitting on a profile whose reviews date to 2018 to 2019, and it is not confirmed or published by Botify itself. It should not be read as current pricing.

Botify as a Vendor: Stability Signals

Botify raised $55 million in a Series C round in September 2021, led by InfraVia Growth with participation from Bpifrance, confirmed via a company-issued press release. No acquisition or ownership change was found; Botify appears to remain an independent, venture-backed company as of this research date.

Glassdoor’s profile loaded directly at glassdoor.com/Overview/Working-at-Botify-EI_IE1466856.11,17.htm and confirms an overall rating of 3.6/5 based on 79 ratings, with a 57% recommend-to-a-friend rate, HQ listed as Paris, France, and CEO Adrien Ménard at 59% approval, all consistent with Botify’s own identity. The page’s FAQ text separately states “112 anonymous reviews,” a discrepancy with the 79-rating snapshot header on the same page; the snapshot header is reported here as the profile’s headline figure. Comparably was blocked on two separate attempts, so its status and any score remain unknown rather than confirmed absent.

No reviewer in the readable G2 or Capterra samples disclosed crawl-volume or URL caps, contract length, or overage terms, so none of that is asserted here in either direction.

Do You Need the Tool or the Outcome?

Botify’s crawl and log-file depth is built for large, complex sites, but a license alone does not run a technical SEO program. Someone still has to prioritize what the crawl surfaces, brief engineering, track the fixes through to a ranking or traffic outcome, and keep doing that every month. That ongoing work, not the software, is usually the larger cost next to the headcount required to run it well.
