HockeyStack is a B2B revenue-attribution and ABM analytics platform. Its footprint is thin and split: G2’s current 4.4/5 across 82 reviews hides a sharply negative 2026 cohort, while a 4.7/5 Gartner-network score describes an earlier, discontinued analytics product.
HockeyStack Review Overview
- G2: 4.4/5 on 82 reviews, checked September 2026, sample read tagged “Organic,” but the five most recently published 2026 reviews run 4, 0, 0, 1 and 0 out of 5.
- Capterra, GetApp & Software Advice: 4.7/5 on 27 reviews, checked September 2026, one shared Gartner pool, 22 of 27 explicitly incentivized, and the sample describes a discontinued 2021 analytics product rather than the current platform.
- TrustRadius: a single readable review, incentivized, dated September 2022, also describing the discontinued product; too stale and small to report a usable score.
- Trustpilot: unclaimed profile, 2 reviews total, both 1-star, checked September 2026; the platform itself notes HockeyStack has no history of asking for reviews.

What Users Say About HockeyStack
Reviewer accounts split cleanly by era: the Gartner-network reviews describe a cookieless website-analytics tool no longer sold, while G2’s current reviews describe today’s attribution and ABM platform.
G2: 4.4/5 (82 reviews, checked September 2026)
The six reviews read in full were each tagged “Source: Organic,” with no “Incentivized Review” or “G2 invite” labels found in that sample; the full 82-review set was not individually audited for incentive tags.
What users praise:
- Fast implementation, with one reviewer describing the product as “live and fully integrated in under 2 weeks”
- Strength of attribution modeling and buyer-journey visibility
- Salesforce and CRM integration, including an embedded dashboard inside the Salesforce object
- The Odin AI analyst feature
- Onboarding and support quality, in 2025-dated reviews specifically
Where users push back:
- Data-connectivity and accuracy failures against the customer’s own CRM, named in multiple reviews
- Support booked in short, back-to-back call slots, with one reviewer reporting a week or more to hear back
- A strategic pivot from multi-touch attribution toward “sales intelligence and AI,” which two reviewers say raises doubts about continued investment in attribution
One 2025-dated reviewer, Selin K., COO at a small business, described the product as “live and fully integrated in under 2 weeks” with real-time pipeline visibility from day one. The platform’s most recent reviews tell a different story. G2 reviews dated 2025 (three reviews sampled, all 4.5 to 5 out of 5) are positive. The five most recently published 2026 reviews, dated April 28, May 11, May 12 (two reviews) and September 2, score 4, 0, 0, 1 and 0 out of 5, and repeat two specific complaints: CRM data not connecting reliably, and support calls limited to 15-minute slots. Five reviews is a small sample and cannot by itself support a claim that the product is failing, but it is a specific, dated pattern worth checking against the current reviews on G2’s page directly, since an aggregate score can hide exactly this kind of recency shift.
“With 90% of touch points requiring manual mapping, we were essentially building the integration ourselves.”
- Rim A., Senior Manager Demand Generation, Mid-Market (G2 )
Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice: 4.7/5 (27 reviews, checked September 2026)
Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice all show the identical 4.7/5 score across 27 reviews with the identical 23/3/0/0/1 star distribution and matching reviewer names and quotes. This is one Gartner Digital Markets review pool republished on three sites, not three independent samples, and we report it as one data point. Software Advice discloses 22 of the 27 reviews as explicitly incentivized (“invited by the software vendor to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you”); Capterra and GetApp disclose a site-wide referral fee on vendor links rather than per-review incentive labels, though the underlying reviews are the same pool.
More importantly, this sample overwhelmingly describes a discontinued product. 18 of 20 reviews sampled date to 2021 to 2022 and describe a cookieless website-analytics tool sold as a Google Analytics alternative through an AppSumo lifetime deal, a different product from the B2B attribution and ABM platform HockeyStack sells today. A 2026 reader comparing today’s HockeyStack against this 4.7/5 would be comparing it to a product no longer on the market. One current-era review in this pool (Rim A., 1/5, “Could not connect our Data”) is the same reviewer and complaint that also appears on G2.
What users praise (2021-era product):
- A simple, one-line website integration
- Cookieless tracking positioned as a Google Analytics alternative
- Affordability via an AppSumo lifetime deal
- A clean UI and dashboard
Where users push back:
- Missing heatmap and session-recording features (2021-era)
- No ad-platform data push (2021-era)
- Data-connection failure and account-manager overload, from the one current-era review
TrustRadius and Trustpilot: too small or too stale to score
TrustRadius lists “2 Reviews and Ratings” but only one review body was readable, dated September 13, 2022, explicitly marked incentivized, and describing the same discontinued analytics product as the Gartner pool. A 9/10 score resting on one confirmed, incentivized, off-product review is not comparable to G2’s current sample, and we do not report it as a usable score.
Trustpilot’s profile is present but unclaimed; the platform states HockeyStack “hasn’t invited their customers, so reviews may not be representative.” Only 2 reviews exist, both 1-star, both billing and support-access complaints rather than the data-accuracy complaints seen on G2:
“pay and get locked out - nice idea, nice tool - as long as you are allowed to login…”
- Florian, US, Trustpilot (Trustpilot )
Two reviews is too thin a sample to publish as a score; we report the profile as unclaimed with two reviews and no usable rating.
Where the Review Platforms Disagree
The meaningful divergence on this page is not between platforms, it is across time inside one platform. G2’s 4.4/5 aggregate across 82 reviews blends a positive 2025 cohort (three reviews sampled, 4.5 to 5 out of 5) with a negative 2026 cohort (the five most recently published 2026 reviews, running 4, 0, 0, 1 and 0 out of 5). Both cohorts sit on the same platform, describing the same current product, rated by the same reviewer type (B2B buyers, largely organic). The direction is worth noting; the size is not enough to call it a trend, and we are reporting the dates and the specific complaints (CRM data connectivity, 15-minute support slots), not a verdict on where the company is headed. Anyone weighing HockeyStack should read G2’s most recent reviews directly, since the 4.4 aggregate does not surface this split on its own.
Separately, the 4.7/5 Gartner-network score and the 4.4/5 G2 score cannot be read side by side as corroborating each other, because they are measuring different products. The Gartner pool describes a discontinued 2021 analytics tool; G2 describes the attribution and ABM platform sold today. TrustRadius’s single review shares that same product-era problem. Only G2 and Trustpilot describe the current product, and Trustpilot’s sample of 2 is too small to weigh against anything.
HockeyStack Pricing
HockeyStack’s own pricing page (hockeystack.com/pricing, checked September 2026) publishes no tiers, no numbers and no currency. It is a lead-capture form only, asking for a name, email and what the visitor wants from a call, with no plan names or figures anywhere on the page. Pricing is fully sales-gated.
Third-party figures on file conflict with each other and are not vendor-confirmed: G2’s seller-submitted pricing module lists a “Platform” tier “Starting at $2,200.00 Per Month,” while GetApp’s page independently lists “Starting price: $599 usage based /per month,” a roughly 3.7x gap. Neither figure appears on HockeyStack’s own site, and we are not publishing either as a current price. The contradiction itself is useful buying information: directory-listed pricing for HockeyStack should not be trusted, and a prospective buyer should expect a sales conversation rather than a published rate card.
HockeyStack as a Vendor: Stability Signals

|---|---|---|---|
| Glassdoor | 4.4/5 | 18 | September 2026 |
| Comparably | Blocked (page denied access, not confirmed absent) | — | September 2026 |
Glassdoor’s company overview page, loaded directly at the profile matching HockeyStack’s San Francisco HQ and 2021 founding date, shows an aggregate of 4.4/5 across 18 ratings, with 92% saying they would recommend it to a friend. That aggregate sits alongside at least one sharply negative individual review visible on the reviews tab: a Sales Development Representative, current employee, San Francisco, dated August 25, 2026, rating 1.0/5, with “the people are amazing at this company” listed as a pro and a critical one-line comment about management listed as a con. Both are read from the same live profile; the 4.4/18 aggregate is the headline figure, and the single negative review is one data point inside it, not a separate or conflicting score.
Comparably returned “Access to this page has been denied” on two separate attempts, checked September 2026. This is a block, not a confirmed absence of a profile.
Indeed was not checked in this pass; its absence here reflects that gap, not a confirmed absence of a listing.
No layoffs, private-equity ownership or acquisition events surfaced in review text on any platform checked. One Glassdoor review and two G2 or Software Advice reviews separately reference a strategic shift from marketing attribution toward “agentic AI” and “sales intelligence,” which those reviewers frame as a support and roadmap risk for existing attribution customers. That is a reviewer-reported observation on each platform, not a conclusion we are drawing about the company.
Do You Need the Tool or the Outcome?
HockeyStack does not publish a price, and third-party estimates for it disagree by nearly 4x, which alone tells you this is a sales-led purchase, not a self-serve one. Even before that conversation, the licence itself is the cheap part of running attribution: the expensive part is the headcount needed to keep CRM data connected, chase down the kind of mapping issues reviewers describe, and turn dashboards into pipeline decisions week over week.
