Ryte, formerly OnPage.org until its 2017 rebrand, is a German technical SEO and website quality platform now owned by Semrush since July 2024. Its client scores split sharply: G2 4.7/5 and Capterra 4.2/5 against Trustpilot’s 1.3/5, roughly a 3.4-point gap.
Ryte Review Overview
- G2: 4.7/5 on 65 reviews, checked September 2026, mixed sample carrying both “Incentivized/G2 invite” and “Organic” labels; some reviews are AI-translated from German.
- Capterra: 4.2/5 on 44 reviews, checked September 2026, sample dated 2018 to 2022, stale relative to this read; platform discloses earning a referral fee.
- TrustRadius: 8.4/10 on 12 reviews (3 readable), checked September 2026, an OnPage.org (2016-2017) and Ryte (2022) pool merged under one score, two of the three readable reviews marked incentivized.
- Trustpilot: 1.3/5 on 112 reviews, checked September 2026, unsolicited consumer sample concentrated on billing and cancellation disputes; vendor “hasn’t asked for reviews recently” per Trustpilot’s own disclosure.
- GetApp: no listing located, established by search rather than a loaded error page.
- Software Advice: no listing located, established by search rather than a loaded error page.

What Users Say About Ryte
Business platforms describe a capable technical SEO and crawl-data tool; Trustpilot’s sample is dominated by free-trial billing and cancellation complaints rather than product functionality.
G2: 4.7/5 (65 reviews, checked September 2026)
Star distribution: 59 five-star, 4 four-star, 1 three-star, 0 two-star, 1 one-star. Several reviews carry an explicit “Incentivized” label with “Source: G2 invite” or “Source: G2 invite on behalf of seller,” alongside others marked “Source: Organic.” This is a mixed, not purely unsolicited, sample. Some reviews are flagged “AI Translated” from German originals, meaning the English text shown is G2’s machine translation rather than the reviewer’s own wording. Visible reviews run from August 2021 to November 2023, not concentrated in the trailing 12 months.
What users praise:
- Depth of technical and on-page SEO analysis, and the underlying crawl data
- Integration with Google Search Console data
- Responsive customer support
Where users push back:
- Pricing, described as expensive relative to smaller-team budgets
- A steep learning curve and feature overload for newer users
- Contract renewal terms, including one review describing a price increase built into fine print
“Subscription Trap for Agencies: Price Doubled in Fine Print”
- Adam V., Mid-Market (G2 )
Capterra: 4.2/5 (44 reviews, checked September 2026)
Sub-scores: Ease of use 4.0, Customer Service 4.4. Reviews span June 2018 to July 2022, a sample that is not current relative to a 2026 read. The listing includes untranslated German-language reviews alongside English ones, and Capterra discloses on-page that it may earn a referral fee on vendor clickthroughs.
What users praise:
- Strength of on-page SEO analysis and crawl depth, consistent with G2’s findings
- Google Search Console integration as a differentiator
- Helpful customer service, reflected in the 4.4 sub-score
Where users push back:
- Cost, flagged as a recurring theme alongside G2
- Learning curve for teams new to technical SEO tooling
TrustRadius: 8.4 out of 10 (12 reviews listed, 3 readable, checked September 2026)
This score is not a clean current-Ryte sample. TrustRadius merges reviews written under the old OnPage.org name (2016 and 2017) with reviews written under the Ryte name (2022) on a single product page. Of the three readable reviews, two are marked “Incentivized”: an 8/10 from a Consultant in Information Technology (dated 2022-08-08), and a 6/10 from a General Manager in Marketing written under the OnPage name (dated 2017-12-14). The third, a 9/10 dated 2016-06-02, is an explicitly OnPage.org-era review and was not marked incentivized.
“OnPage.org the all-in-one onpage SEO Suite”
- Lukas Mehnert, Online Campaign Manager, Kentico (TrustRadius )
Trustpilot: 1.3/5 (“Bad,” 112 reviews, checked September 2026)
Ryte’s Trustpilot profile has been claimed since January 2020. The star distribution is bimodal: 68% five-star, 4% four-star, under 1% three-star, 0% two-star and 27% one-star, almost nothing in the middle. Trustpilot itself discloses “No recent history of asking for reviews” and that the company “hasn’t replied to negative reviews,” with only 3 of the 112 reviews posted in the last 12 months. The readable complaints concentrate on free-trial billing and cancellation experiences rather than on the SEO functionality itself.
What users praise:
- Positive reviewers describe the tool favorably among the 5-star share of the sample, though few specific product details are readable in that cohort
Where users push back:
- Being charged after cancelling a free trial with days remaining, and support responses reviewers describe as declining to reverse the charge
- Difficulty reaching support to resolve billing before the renewal date
“5 days left to go”
- Jack, SK (Trustpilot )
One Trustpilot review alleges a “pay for play” scheme tied to a separately named US entity; this claim could not be corroborated as involving the same company covered on this page and is not repeated here.
Where the Review Platforms Disagree
The gap is roughly 3.4 points on a 5-point scale, and it is the largest divergence in our review coverage. Both samples here are substantial: Trustpilot’s 1.3/5 comes from 112 reviews, and G2’s 4.7/5 comes from 65. Neither can be dismissed as thin.
| Sample | Score | Who is rating | What they are rating |
|---|---|---|---|
| G2 | 4.7/5 across 65 | B2B practitioners, mixed incentivized and organic | Technical SEO functionality |
| Capterra | 4.2/5 across 44 | B2B practitioners, affiliate-monetised platform | Technical SEO functionality |
| TrustRadius | 8.4/10 across 12 (3 readable) | Merged OnPage.org and Ryte pool, incentivized programme | Technical SEO functionality |
| Trustpilot | 1.3/5 across 112 | Unsolicited consumer sample, vendor not currently soliciting | Billing and cancellation |
Trustpilot’s readable complaints are concentrated on free-trial billing and cancellation, not on the product’s SEO capability. Trustpilot also discloses that Ryte has not asked customers for reviews recently, which affects who is represented in that sample. G2 and Capterra reflect B2B practitioners rating the technical toolset, and both carry vendor-solicited reviews of their own. These are different populations answering different questions. We do not average the figures and we do not declare one of them the real score.
Ryte Pricing
Read on Ryte’s own pricing page, en.ryte.com/product/pricing/, 2026-09-04. No numeric price is published anywhere on the page; both tiers are quote-only.
| Plan | Price | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Enterprise | Get a quote | Customised crawling and session budget, unlimited projects and users, all premium features and APIs, dedicated customer success manager |
| Partner (for agencies) | Get a quote | Monthly crawling up to 1,000,000 URLs / 100,000 sessions (small) or 5,000,000 URLs / 1,000,000 sessions (large), unlimited projects and users, dedicated partner manager |
Ryte states plainly that “prices are based on monthly sessions, feature sets, and additional services” and that quotes are delivered only after a sales conversation. There is no self-serve list price on the vendor’s site, and no third-party directory price is reported here in its place.
Ryte as a Vendor: Stability Signals
| Source | Score | Reviews | Last checked |

| Glassdoor | 3.9/5 | 18 | September 2026 |
| Kununu | Not verified (page blocked) | — | September 2026 |
| Comparably | Profile exists, 0 ratings | — | September 2026 |
| Indeed | No profile | — | September 2026 |
Ryte was acquired by Semrush Holdings, Inc., announced 12 July 2024 in a first-party disclosure on Ryte’s own site. Ryte is now a Semrush-owned brand rather than an independent German company. Buyers evaluating Ryte today are evaluating a product owned by Semrush; see our Semrush reviews for that company’s own client and employer signals. We are not predicting what Semrush does with Ryte’s roadmap, pricing or support going forward, only naming the ownership as a fact to weigh.
Ryte was formerly named OnPage.org, rebranded on 19 July 2017, its fifth anniversary, per contemporaneous press coverage from Munich Startup and EU-Startups, corroborated by Ryte’s own magazine post on the rename.
Glassdoor rates Ryte 3.9/5 across 18 reviews, checked September 2026: 94% would recommend to a friend, 85% approve of CEO Andreas Bruckschlögl, and 81% report a positive business outlook. Only one review body was readable in this session, a former SDR based in Munich, describing a fair and transparent commission structure and a base salary that “could be a bit higher.” This is a thin readable sample and should not be read as a clean bill of health.
Kununu was blocked on repeated attempts, so a profile may exist but could not be read. Comparably carries a Ryte profile with 0 employee ratings (linked to ryte.com, last modified February 2020), checked September 2026. Indeed returned a confirmed 404 for the company-page slug attempted, though a different slug was not exhaustively checked.
Read alongside each other, a positive but thin employer sample on Glassdoor sits beside a client base that is either strongly positive (G2, Capterra) or sharply polarized on billing (Trustpilot), against a recent change in ownership. That is a correlation between separately sourced observations, not evidence that one caused the other.
Do You Need the Tool or the Outcome?
Ryte’s own pricing page publishes no self-serve number at all, both tiers require a sales call. That licence, whatever it ends up costing, is the cheap part of doing technical SEO yourself; the expensive part is the headcount needed to run crawls, fix on-page issues and turn the output into pipeline every week.
